Federal Deficit Hits October Record of $176 Billion

Of course it is. The left will lie about anything to save their savior any embarrassment.

yeah...too funny how onceler says i'm lying that october is not bush's, it is obama's....

does he offer anything anymore? all he has done all day is personally attack people for absolutely no reason and all if has been based on lies

both...both are not good for us, do you claim they are...or just trying to get a gotcha moment?

and are you claiming no dems are responsible for any spending?

I agree with you on all the above points, however I'm having a hell of a time trying to remember an onslaught of posts condemning bush for the record deficits in every year of his Presidency as we are seeing now. He more than doubled the deficits of the 8 years previous to his, leading to the worst financial crisis in 70+ years, but the Party sycophants were silent, thus, obviously, hypocrites, my point.
Let me reply to a reply before it is posted. bush never submitted a balanced budget, made even worse by his Iraq "supplementals".

it amazes me how libs blame bush's deficits for "leading" to the worst financial crisis in 70 years....YET most support obama's larger deficits and claim they actually help....i'm with you that record deficits like this are bad, and i've always maintained this

bush's deficits had little to do with the financial crisis.... further, isn't obama's stimulus part of the record 09' deficit?

October was the beginning of the new fiscal year. What idiots they are.

correct me if i am wrong...but isn't obama's stimulus part of the 09' deficit?

No, only the October numbers reflect the Obama budget. Budget '09 belonged to bush until 9/30/09.(not mentioned in your Fox quote). The stimulus was the bush/Paulson stimulus.

thats interesting because obama's administration has this to say:

As they unveiled the final 2009 figure, administration officials argued that expensive emergency programs -- such as the $700 billion bank bailout requested by the Bush administration and the $787 billion economic stimulus package Obama signed during his first days in office -- were essential to halting a frightening economic slide earlier this year. The deficit ultimately was lower than expected because those programs worked, they said.

i guess we can agree that onceler is the liar for accusing me of lying when i said october was solely obama's.....:)

And September, 2009 was still the bush '09 budget. Be careful when using the "idiot" term, it appears to be backfiring. My posts did say October was Obama's so who are you talking about or are you hiding your deceit?

LOL

Nothing but personal attacks when you can't refute my arguments.

Pathetic!

i asked you how october was bush's...and you have yet to answer....all you have more lies onceler....what has gotten into you today?

you claimed i lied when i said october was obama's.....how did i lie? why aren't you claiming belme lied? :pke:

Obama did sign it, but it was the emergency package left by the previous administration as a result of their fiscal emergency declaration in late '08, at the beginning of the '09 fiscal year. The AIG and bank bailouts were in that package.
Frankly, if I was an Obama advisor, because it had the bush name on it and thus it was bound to fail. I would have recommended the plan be dropped and a new, better one to be formulated reaching down to the people, not corporations......but then, I'm not an advisor to a President.

the obama stimulus was all his....he pushed for it very hard...and even his admin says bush is only the "majority" at fault to the record deficit, thus they concede, that obama is responsible for part of the 09' deficit

bush's policies were a part of the financial crisis along with the Party's hands off business, de-regulation policy. If not, and you feel that way, why did you go to the trouble of posting the Benanke quote in fox about deficit spending? You can't have it both ways.

the deficits did not cause the financial crisis....the overinflated real estate market was probably one of the largest factors....along with the credit companies/banks....which of course ties in with the real estate bubble bursting...

my point simply is, while deficits like this are not good, they had little to do with the financial crisis

You can say that only because he carried the bush policy forward, in my view a mistake, however had McCain been elected he would would have done the same thing. He voted for the Bush/Obama stimulus package if I[m not mistaken. Again, because it had the bush name on it, I would have been against it.
