Hoffman 'unconcedes' in N.Y.-23 House race

Many votes were uncounted and many voters were disenfranchised in Florida and Ohio
In Florida the votes were counted, recounted, recounted again, then somebody sued to get special counties recounted in a different way.

Those votes were counted, Desh. As they were in Ohio.

In this case, they are simply still counting and we are awaiting a result. Nobody on "we"'s side has asked for special consideration, nor has anybody asked for the votes to be counted again.

Actually, Damo, Florida votes were not counted, recounted and recounted again. That's what the Supreme Court ruling was all about. It ordered that the recount process should be stopped because it was proceeding in an unconstitutional manner. As a result of the Supreme Court stopping the recount, the Supreme Court effectively decided that Bush won.

I'd rather not get into a disagreement about it, but you can't just fabricate what actually happened.

There was an automatic recount, (that was the second time), then another recount ordered in those specific counties. I shouldn't use hyperbole because apparently people expect perfect accuracy rather than conversational English when I am "speaking". All of those votes were counted, Nigel. Twice at least and some on their way to a third. (BTW - Gore picked the wrong counties, he could have had a recount that actually could have been done quickly (likely before court rulings) that would have won him the election.)

My point was that in this case nobody was shouting about how "all the votes haven't been counted!" other than as a bit of humor based on the past. Nobody was being hypocritical as Desh was suggesting, they are simply interested because mathematically it could turn the election, even though it is very unlikely.

???...we all watched them recounting them on television.....holding them up to the light to see if the chad was hanging, hung, or re-hung......once they had complied with Florida statutes a decision was made.....the problem that the SCOTUS resolved was whether the Florida statutes could be changed retroactively.....and liberals have been fabricating what happened ever since.....
