He should have been fired. All she did was mention her fiancee. BFD! He should of went to HR or a boss to be laughed at and told he was an idiot.

he WAS the one who got fired, wasn't he?......was it unlawful for him to have an opinion?........if you say he ought to have kept his opinion to himself, what about the fact that she didn't keep her opinion to herself?.......
 
The guy deseved to be fired for insulting a fellow workers perfectly legal behavior.

You dont get to control homosexuals speach because it makes you feel uncomfortable.

They can talk about the people they love just like anyone else.

This guy could have told her he wasnt interested in her personal life and wanted their relationship to stay strictly professional.

Tolerance means learning to live and work with people you wouldn't choose to, it doesn't mean you get to insult them all day long with no repercussion. It doesn't seem like this guy understood what tolerance is, work isn't the place to proselytize on the sins of homosexuality.

Of course, we are only getting half of the story. Did she constantly insult the Christian? Tell him his beliefs were wrong? Talk about her own religion? Did she continue to push her personal life around him after he asked her not to?

We don't know. But work also wouldn't be the place for that.

We learned in sexual harassment classes that talking about your wild (or even one not so wild) night life could be harassment if you were asked to take it elsewhere.

Did this person ask her to take her private life elsewhere?

According to his interview, he got about three words in. He was obviously baited by this queer.

What you libs don't understand is that we social conservatives simply don't care what consenting queers do to each other in private. And if they respect that we reciprocate with the same level of respect.

For example, when I was in college there were two male queers who lived down the hall who would come to parties in speedos, have loud sex in their rooms, and generally bait us to disrespect them. Of course most of us obliged. I had several lesbian friends, one of them very close in fact, and we got along great. My girlfriend's sports team had several lesbians, including the coach, and I never had a problem with any of them, since they were all classy and discrete.

Currently, there's a couple we go to church with, lesbians, with two kids, and we talk with them frequently. One of them is a college coach and she's coached my daughter during summer camps.

Not quite. I haven't heard either side.

But I do know that she could have crossed lines and the employer could be wrong here.

If he asked her to please talk elsewhere about her private life and she refused she was harassing him, according to all the harassment classes I've had to take.

Now, I don't know that is what happened. But I do know that, however unlikely you might think it is, the Christian could be in the right here.

"In the Beginning there was The Word and The Word was with God..."

If you go by the book, and understand that "The Word" when capitalized is a euphemism for Christ, then you would know that Christ was definitely alive at that time.
