Not to pat myself on the back but he did say something that I can relate to very strongly when he said " Be a monster that has learned to control it" . I can be the nicest person in the world, do just about anything for anyone, be kind to anyone,.....but hurt my family, friends, myself, or just about anyone else and I can very quickly turn into the worst monster anyone has ever met. I am not aggressive to other people by nature,....it is much more an IN DEFENSE OF thing. Nothing wrong with that either IMO.

Maybe YOU didn't watch it. I watched long enough to get the idea. The qualities you find important in a man aren't the same as mine. You think being an angry monster makes you a man. I think honesty, integrity, respect, empathy and understanding and controlling your temper makes you a man. It is what it is.

I'm a Rogan fan, and I get what he's trying to say here. But he's off the mark.

"Toxic masculinity" actually IS a thing - and it has nothing to do w/ being strong or weak. I think that's where the rub is. Some men think "strength" is an unnecessary show of aggressiveness, bullying or demeaning others.

The Kid Rock/Bud Light thing is an example. He was trying to show strength, but what he did was so weak. He was a classic triggered snowflake.

And I'm a little wary of anything that hints at going back to a time where "men are men" and all that. Because during those times, women were always viewed as the weaker sex, LGBTQ was not acceptable at any level, and it really kept more than half the population from excelling and achieving to the fullest.
