Palin? ...Let's talk about Biden!!!

Pathetic.

Obama spoke out strongly against both the resolution, and the invasion; and you can say that was easy for him politically, because he was not in Congress, but I imagine he knew he was going to run for President, and his words could have been used against him IF this thing turned out to be the right decision, which it clearly did not (and it's good to see you finally admit that).

What is it with you idiots and accountability? I've never seen such weasels. If this thing WAS a success, you'd be screaming about how this was Bush & the GOP alone, fighting to do the right thing against fierce opposition from the Dems. The fact that you are trying to spread the "credit" around speaks volumes.

obama has been for afghanistan though and he campaigned on expanding the war there....though for the past few months he is screwing it up big time

What the fuck does that have to do with a conversation about invading Iraq?

For the record, I am against Obama's policy in Afghanistan. I used to be of the opinion, even when Bush was President, that we needed to clean up the mess there, but now it appears that we have learned what it took the Soviets many years to learn.

Many people who supported the initial military effort in Afghanistan opposed Iraq. They were 2 different wars. This conversation is about Iraq.

you were talking about war and it being a pandora's box....

i didn't realize you haven't taken your meds yet and that my post would cause you to get all pissy

carry on

Yeah; sorry about that. Careless decisions to go to war get me a little "pissy." It just bothers me a little bit when thousands die unnecessarily; maybe that's just me. I really should be lighter about it.

I've got news for you. I live near ground zero. I knew people who died, and people who lost their jobs & companies. When Bush stood next to that firefighter w/ the megaphone? I was crying. I was behind him 110%. When he talked about getting Bin Laden & anyone who harbored him? I was behind him 110%.

So I was behind Afghanistan; it made sense. OBL was there, the Taliban was helping him hide, it was a natural response to 9/11.

Iraq, to me, was inexplicable.

So, yeah - it makes me a little "pissy."

you dishonest hack....you were pissy because you thought i changed the subject when in fact i didn't....your neg rep clearly states that....

11-21-2009 12:06 PM Onceler for always trying to change the subject

nice try

i am sorry for your losses near ground zero, i can't imagine what that must be like.

Yeah, well, go fuck yourself. If you'd even put 1/10 of the energy into taking fools like Dixie & ID to task for clearly trying to avoid any accountability that you do with people who are actually calling the decision to invade Iraq for what it is, you might earn even an ounce of respect for me.

But that shit doesn't bother you at all. You have to jump in w/ some irrelevant comment about Afghanistan, a completely different war, which most people actually supported.

So, fuck off.

lol...so now you're not pissy about the war, you're pissy because i don't take others to tasks for what you think are wrongs....lmao you really need your meds mr. board police....

i really don't care if i have your respect, you're a proven liar and the majority of your posts are nothing but sniping, whining and policing others actions....your hypocrisy is so transparent damo easily pwned you when he pointed out you were not taking your own side to task, so you finally had to (with sarcasm) take jarod or whoever it was to task....

if you can't handle the fact that i only wanted to discuss war and pandora's box re obama and afghanistan, then you need help....you have serious issues, demanding i talk about other things so i get your respect.....

(yawn)

Equally pathetic. You guys have no idea what "accountability" is.

Everyone knew the risks of going to war. That's why you avoid war whenever possible; that's why - if you're a good LEADER - you look for any reason you can NOT to go to war, instead of trying to FIND reasons to go to war. War is a Pandora's box, and should never be undertaken lightly, or when there are other options on the table.

How did this thread devolve into a discussion of the war and Bush again? Haven't we beaten the dead horse enough? This thread is about Joe Biden, who incidentally was a strong voice in support of the war before he was against it! Obama didn't speak out against it until it became politically expedient for him to do so, and he has only talked enough to fool idiot liberals into believing him, while continuing to send troops over there to die.

But again, this thread is about the contradiction of those who chastise Palin for being a dunderhead, while supporting Joe Biden, the second biggest idiot to ever hold elected office behind Nancy Pelosi.

Let's get this thread back on THAT track, okay??

Where is your proof he said that? :whome:

The ghostwriter, who ended up getting dismissed, told an interviewer. It's his word against Bush's, of course, because no one else was there.

It completely fits Bush's m.o, though. The quote sounded like vintage Bush. I'm sure you'll do whatever you can to discredit the ghostwriter, just like I'm sure you agree with Dixie & ID that the Dems deserve just as much "credit" for invading Iraq...

So you don't have one iota of proof, Didn't think so.

You don't consider eyewitness testimony "an iota"?

Whatever. The dude said it; it's his word against Bush's. I don't know what agenda he'd have to have to make up a quote like that, but I'm sure you feel that Bush his incredibly noble and wonderful for deciding to invade Iraq and couldn't consider any other possibility...
