yes. the question is would the breakup of the EU in any way reduce NATO cohesion. I can't see it.
Putin is a known quantity, and NATO was around much longer.
 
The Russians are content with Russia. Nazism spawned the Soviet bloc - that and Allied treachery- and NATO hasn't got used to life without it.
 
WWII gave the USSR the ability to form the Bloc. Otherwise, that is just the nature of Marxism - to destroy and to implement totalitarianism.

Perhaps the world is the incipient stages of a major global breakdown,
and perhaps such is environmentally necessary to half the present global population.

The alt right "predictions" never come true. 7 years ago, they were predicting that the EU would collapse within 5 years, it did not. Even people who were severely anti-EU before, like the Brothers Of Italy, are pro-EU now. It is hard to argue with the success of the EU.
