Bud Light sales have fallen a 'staggering' 17%

I suspect other companies may think twice before doing the same thing. I bet lots of businesses had plans for a similar campaign but they've been shelved with this reaction.
I wonder if Nike will have much backlash for having Dylan as spokes person for their bras. I suspect not. Beer drinkers and sports bra users are totally different types of people.

Anheuser-Bush has fired the Marketing VP that came up with this crap as well as her boss. Will that change anything? Hard to say, but the Wokesters are having a bad year.
[FONT=&quot]False. The claim about the marketing department initially spread as satire but some social media users shared it as real. Anheuser-Busch has not fired its marketing team, the company confirmed in a statement. Further, the cans were part of a limited rollout marking Pride Month in 2022 in Canada, and aren’t connected to the brand’s partnership with social media star Dylan Mulvaney.”

First, I'm not upset unless you can show me where. This thread AGAIN is about Dylan mulvaney. Please tell.me you recognize that fact. Next, he isn't a woman, he is a buffoonish caricature of a woman. If I were a woman id offended as hell by the clown Dylan has created. Lastly bud light is monkey pee. Here's the thing, believe it or not, people don't have to like trannies. Do you understand that or not?

Well said.

I doubt it will change things a lot. Bud has branded itself as a queer beer. People are calling it the drag queen of beers. It will be hard to shed that image. It will take time to recover if it ever does.

I love it. So we have bud light the drag queen of beers and Miller high life the champagne of beers. BTW did you see the story where some french leftists no doubt were offended that miller calls itself the champagne. Guessing offends their uppity sensibilities tonhave the term champagne associated with beer. How gauche

Nike has a very different customer base than Bud. Nike is a Wokester brand that proudly uses slaves to make their product. They are major promoters of BLM and were supportive of the anti-National Anthem movement.

If that didn't damage them, promoting transexualism won't.

BUT the anti-Woman stance Nike has adopted by stupidly weighing in on men competing in women's sports could damage them.

{Bud Light’s Vice President of Marketing Alissa Heinerscheid isn’t the only now on a leave of absence following backlash over the company’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.According to a statement from Bud Light parent company Anheuser-Busch, Heinerscheid’s boss, Daniel Blake, is also on a leave of absence.
“Given the circumstances, Alissa has decided to take a leave of absence which we support,” an Anheuser-Busch spokeswoman said in an email, reports The Wall Street Journal. “Daniel has also decided to take a leave of absence.”
Those leave of absences weren’t voluntary, however, according to the Journal’s sources.}

Nike is actually getting a lot of backlash particularly from female athletes who got put on the back burner because they were pregnant... the Dylan video was a complete joke though and very poorly done...so I doubt that the sports bra he was wearing
Is flying off the shelf... the poor kid isn't getting much support from the trans Community either... particularly the famous ones...

I won't own a Nike product. I don't like how their shoes fit me anyway.

Surrrrreeeee

In-Bev is an international Mega-Corp (the kind democrats LOVE.) Bud is only one brand in their portfolio, This will hurt Bud sales for years, but most people don't even know that Corona, Pacifico, and dozens of other brands are all In-Bev. Those sales are not impacted.

This will hurt In-Bev, but certainly won't put them out of business.

So, you think a leave of absence is the same as firing

All they need to do is lower the price, people who drink cheap beer will come running back. They were already losing consumers because they had raised their prices.

it's a graciousness executive level people get offered.

it's firing.
It’s firing when they tell people they are fired, a leave of absence is a leave of absence. If at a later time they terminate them, then they will be fired.
