A man who was informed by a restaurant that he had been scammed out of $40 by another man claiming to be a parking attend returned to his car, grabbed his gun, and calmly killed the scammer. He then returned to the restaurant and continued on with his date.

Placing strict limits on gun ownership is nowhere even close to treating law abiding citizens as criminals.
