Russia alleges Ukraine tried to attack the Kremlin in a Putin assassination attempt

Russian authorities accused Ukraine of trying to carry out drone strikes on the Kremlin overnight to assassinate President Vladimir Putin. Ukraine's government denied any involvement, accusing Moscow of using the incident as a pretext for escalating its war in Ukraine.

The Kremlin's press service said on Wednesday Russian air defenses shot down two drones attempting to strike Putin's residence inside the Kremlin walls.

"We regard these actions as a planned terrorist act and an attempt on the life of the president," the Kremlin said.

Putin was not in the building at the time of the alleged attack, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian state news agency RIA Novosti.

The Kremlin said no one was harmed and there was no material damage as a result of the falling fragments of destroyed drones..............

So two drones flew in from Ukraine and managed to get all the way to the kremlin before being shot down.
Not saying much for Russia’s air defense systems.:rolleyes:

Putin is fighting this war cautiously for image purposes but he can take out Zelensky anytime he wants.

This war has been over for awhile now but Putin is being slow because he doesn’t want other nations to panic and start defending Ukraine.

Putin is actually a brilliant strategist

Right, what was thought a major military entity is struggling to put away a secondary level country, and don’t try to tell us the massive casualties and embarrassing defeats is “brilliant”

Russia is not going full scale on this war, if they had it would have been over in a couple of weeks.

However if Russia did that then nations would have panicked and gone to defend Ukraine and NATO may have gotten involved.

Instead, Putin used the strategy used in Vietnam of slowly wearing down your enemy and turning public opinion.

Ukraine is now page 10 news and people are simply getting bored with it at this point which is what Putin wants.

The occasional defeat and casualties are irrelevant to him. Last time I checked Russia has about 25 million people they can call up into the military if Putin wants but Ukraine is quickly running out of soldiers and resources and nations aren’t really sending them much help anymore.

When Putin decides it’s safe enough he will send his forces in and have Ukraine extremely quickly.

It's obvious this was a false flag operation to drum up support for an upcoming mobilization. If this is what they have to do in order to get support for the 'special operation' from the public, that tells me what support they have isn't very enthusiastic.

Very clearly one of Russia's false flag attempts to try to keep up support in the country for its atrocity-filled war
 
False flag. You can even see someone in the upper right corner using the drone remote controller.

Both Ritter and MacGregor say that Zelenski is done, that he may or may not live past this office....but it will be the Ukrainians who take him out.
 
Ukraine knows that they have lost this war, that their only hope is massive numbers of NATO boots on the ground, that is what they are trying to engineer.
 
Zelenski will get the blame for stupendously stupid military decisions that got many Ukrainian men killed for no reason.
 
This is so dumb...which gives it the stench of Ukrainian.

Plus they said that they were going to do this.
 
Scott Ritter, who is currently in Russia, said today that the Russians dont cower in fear....thats an American thing.

I spect that he will get some blowback for that, but he was speaking to the truth that the American leadership fundamentally do not understand Russia and Russians.
