You know whats funny to me? People who are saying "Lol repubs are hypocrites cuz Bush did this too" are usually the same people WHO HATED EVERYTHING BUSH DID! Why is it all of a sudden ok now that Obama does it?
 
My question is where the fuck were the so called fiscal conservatives when the Republicans were in power? They allowed this massive expansion and one thing we all know, government never gets smaller. Now they're coming out of the woodwork? NOW??! They had the opportunity to PREVENT this shit from happening, yet they let the freight train cruise right off the cliff and now they're pretending to care?

That doesn't seem right.

Does it count TARP as Bush's? The current spending spurt is only temporary and is an effective measure for fighting the recession. If we had cut spending during this recession, most of you would be out of the job right now, and we'd end up with even larger debts in the end.

Well no shit Ken, tell us something we don't know. Are you aiming for the Captain Obvious award? Why do you think the Republicans got smoked in the '06 and '08 elections?

And yes it is a good thing they are returning to their more fiscally conservative roots. It doesn't justify their abdication of it while Bush was President and they will have to prove in the future if the voters ever trust them with power again that they will stay fiscally conservative but would you rather they not be fiscally conservative Ken? Is that what you're complaining about?
