I have seen nothing that implicates them in working tactically to prevent conspiracy theories on global warming from being advanced. They just disliked people advancing those baseless, ignorant conspiracy theories under the umbrella of "science" and in doing so debasing the entire concept.

If I get my UFO buddies together and form a "scientific journal" that consistently publishes "peer-reviewed" studies saying UFO's exist, other scientists are in no way required to submit to a magazine. Simialarly, if me and my UFO buddies TOOK OVER a scientific journal and started publishing unscientific things, the natural result would be for scientists to IGNORE it.

This journal had lost credibility because it was taken over by someone with a political agenda.

Hey Watermark, the reality is when the peer-reviewed magazines published articles that showed different information they threatened to pull all articles rather than simply refute the information. This isn't "science" by any means of the definition. Scientists deal with information that doesn't agree with their hypotheses, they don't bury it.

Later they used the fact that since nobody who was against AGW "theory" was published in peer-reviewed publications they must not be "scientists"...

Rather than changing with information that didn't agree with their pre-supposed results they simply buried it, "lost" it, and then attempted to mock people into believing the earth was flat. Much like the Catholic church did to scientists back in the day...

None of those warming trends happened as fast as the first one, none of those warming trends were correlated as strongly with as rapid an increase in atmospheric CO2, and there's never been an increase in atmospheric CO2 as strong as the modern one.

Anyone who says global warming isn't happening and isn't because of human activity (they claim both at the same time, confusingly enough) is either ignorant or outright lying. In either case, the human race would be better without them here.
