Why don't you have to show an ID every time you leave your house with a gun? It is no more a constitutional right than voting is. Voting is mentioned as a right more times than any other right in the US Constitution.

You are the one that claimed any drop in funding is defunding. The GOP is pushing to defund much of the government by your definition.

Based on the GOP plan they are going to:
defund the IRS
defund the FBI
defund the FAA
defund the Courts
defund the Congress
defund veteran's benefits
defund NASA
defund National Parks
defund the Coast Guard
defund the Secret Service
defund the CIA
defund Homeland Security
and on and on and on

Is a 4% cut in proposed funding considered defunding? Why is a 10% cut not considered defunding?

I think that America should have a "US CITIZENSHIP CARD."


Here's how it would work...


When you turn 18 years of age in America, you arrange to present yourself at your local Government Department Citizenship office, which will be like the kind of office that is responsible for issuing state drivers licences.



You have to bring your birth certificate and other official documents (like the ones you need to present in order to get a US passport).



If your documentation is in order, you end up with a plastic card about the size of a driver's licence. On the card is a photograph of you, your date of birth, your race (for ex, White American), your signature and a statement that says something like "THIS PERSON IS A CONFIRMED CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" Your biometric ID data is also recorded ( iris, fingerprints,, and so on)



The card is also signed by the relevant authorising government officer.

It costs you $30 bucks to get your "American Citizenship Card" If you are a Welfare bum, it's free.



When you are issued your"American Citizenship Card" you keep it your wallet with your driver's license, your credit cards and such like.



This card would be cheap for the government to organise, and it would provide America's federal and state law enforcement agencies with a valuable tool for weeding out, and promptly deporting, illegal immigrants after President Trump is back in the White House in early 2024! For example, when the police in any state encounter a shifty-looking darkie (who could well be: a cartel,fentanyl dealer; a sex trafficker or an Ms-13 gang member,etc), they could say: "Excuse me Sir, would you mind showing me your "American Citizenship Card?" If s/he say, "I'm sorry, but I don't have it with me at present." The cop then asks where the card is, and is told a lie like I lost it a couple of months ago. In that case, the cop says, you'll have to accompany me to the local card issuing centre. They have photographic and biometric devices there that can clear all of this up in a couple minute MAX.


I think this idea is a potential WINNER, Richard ! What say Ye ?
