Does the House GOP have any understanding of the debt ceiling and its consequences?

the concessions obtained before raising the debt limit has to do with future spending.......however it is becoming obvious that those concessions are meaningless to the left......perhaps it IS time for a default.....

the graphs show that it is Demmycrat congressmen who overspend, not Republican presidents......even Clinton's "balanced budget" came from Gingrich, Republicans reigned in Obama's overspending when he lost control of Congress, and Bush's and Trump's deficits came from Pelosi.......it is inarguable....

I would say it depends on what the majority of Americans feel about overspending......those that don't give a fuck about it will blame the Republicans......fortunately the majority of those live in California and New York.......

It's amusing how the only times in history where you Reichwingers are concerned about "overspending" is when there's a (D) in the WH. Didn't hear whimper one out of you all during the Four Long Years of Sorrow, or during the eight years of W collapsing the economy.

This year's budget is more than last year's budget. That means they are offering to DEFUND the CIA, the FBI, the IRS, the FAA, the National Parks, the courts, etc since a lower amount means they are defunding by your definition.

If you froze your household budget at the amount spent by your parents in 1950, would you be taking a cut in spending? Freezing at an amount less than what you are currently spending is a cut in spending.
