Gas prices would be lower, pooty poot and xi would still be in their cages, we would be out of Afghanistan with 13 more live and well American patriots AND all our stuff. Schools would probably have opened sooner post-covid, we wouldn't be back in that stupid climate accord deal, the debt ceiling BS would be reversed (probably). Nobody has power to appoint a president. If the electoral college does not choose then it goes to the House.

Mike Pence did not have the power. That power resides with the Congress which could challenge the electoral voting. The end result would be a reassessment of the vote counting processes to ascertain if election law was indeed violated, which it was, and have a new vote count verifying that the ballots cast were by registered voters.
The VP argument was a suggestion that the VP can convince the Congress to reject the electors and demand a recount.
Of course, when you have a corrupted election where jurists overruled legislative law from the bench and unsecured mail in balloting which gave corrupt partisans and the media the results they sought, then there is a demand to declare the election was perfect and to shut up.
