Dogs are really different. My terrier up above is much smarter than my beagles were, but no more cooperative despite that.
 
I had a border collie/ Bernese mountain dog mix a while back (he’s the puppy in the picture)


Both very smart and devoted breeds

Bernese were used to heard and babysit the children

Seriously sweet dogs


My boy became 100 lbs of long tall border collie looking with a big Berner mountain dog head


Beautiful boy


Head strong as ever a dig I had

His hips were a mess


Inoperable

So I coddled my wobbly boy


He was wonderful but ran my life


He was just sure he was the boss


Had him nine years

Berners only live to about 6 years


I got lucky


Miss my big boy
