So an e-mail exchange more than 10 years ago including somebody's opinion that a particular study isn't any good is one thing, but the fact that the study ended up being included and discussed anyway is a more powerful comment on what the result of the scientific process really is.

These people are examining what they can or should do to deal with the P.R. dimensions of this, but where the scientific consensus is concerned, it's completely unchanged. What we're seeing is a set of changes worldwide that just make this discussion over 10-year-old e-mails kind of silly.

LMAO.... so he takes one of the thousands of emails that is older and pretends that it is meaningless because it is 10 years old? Or does it rather show us that the conspiracy has been on going for over a decade?

in discussing the Medieval warming period.... Al states...

A: I haven't read those e-mails in detail, but the larger point is that there are cyclical changes in the climate and they are fairly well-understood, and all of them are included in the scientific consensus.

So the fact of the matter is, that according to Al... the Medieval warming period (which was warmer than what we are seeing today) is factored in as a cyclical change. So what about the mini-ice age AL?

If the cyclical changes are factored in and we started coming out of the mini-ice age around 10 years ago... SHOULDN'T we be seeing 'warming' coming out of it? If the earth and its species survived the Medieval period that was warmer than today, why is it a global catastrophe now to be headed up in temp?

Why dear Al has the earth not continued to warm over the past decade? If it is indeed the CO2 as you claim... shouldn't we still be seeing warming as CO2 emissions have continued rising?

What about the emails discussing their frustration that warming is not continuing AL?

He's busy trying to counteract his largest ever recorded personal carbon footprint. He's everybit the left's douche that Rush is to the right.

OK, I've been trying for an hour to figure out how to put a picture on this post and can't do it. I'm just not that internet, web savvy. So I'll just link you to the Tulsa World and you can look at the editorial cartoon. Even if you disagree with the gist of it (and I do mostly) it is funny....I don't care who you are. :)

It's too close to rocket science- don't try it at home.

LOL, thanks SM. I really like Inhofe and don't hold to all of the global warming, the sky is falling stuff...but I thought this was funny..and relevant.
