Lowest approval EVER....

there is nothing more fun in politics than watching democrats get owned. Because they are pussies by nature, they are more apt to cry, become emo, take pictures of themselves apologizing to the world, etc. It's purely orgasmic watching them in anguish.

That and the fact that they are often delusional and think most people in this country support their idiotic agenda

I still think he can turn this around, but not if he tries to use the EPA to force through some cap and trade bullshit that hammers the economy... and not if they try to push through a health care bill the majority of this country is against.

If he puts those two on the back burner and concentrates on the economy... he could stem the tide. If he does not... buh bye Reid. Buh bye super majority (and maybe even majority in the House)

IF he puts the health care and cap & trade on the backburner and lets that kick in... I would agree that should be enough to keep their majority in the House. I think Reid is toast either way so the super majority in the Senate is gone.
 
The latest Gallup has Obama at 50. Daily tracking polls are interesting for their overall trends, but looking at single days and making a news story out of them (while easy to do for a lazy journalist) is stupid.

And really, as I pointed out some time ago, Obama's problem is the economy. If you compare Obama's approval rating generally with Obama's approval rating on the economy they are basically mirror-images of one another. At this point Obama should just do whatever he thinks is necessary to get the economy back on the right track. And fast.

Two problems I see with this... 1) Obama would have to abandon his socialist ideology and do things contrary to what he believes in, like encouraging capitalist growth and prosperity. He would have to do this by lowering taxes and offering incentives to Big Business, which are also contradictory to his principles, and ain't gonna happen.

2) The simple fact that Government doesn't control the economy. If politicians could do something to make the economy better, they would do it every time the economy began to lag, to ensure they remain in power. Too many other intangibles are at play, and government simply doesn't control them. At best, government can provide the environment for economic prosperity, incentives and tax cuts do this, but again, this is contradictory to Obamanomics.

Which is why they're working on doing something about it and why I said they need to do something about it very soon. And it's also why the Republicans oppose pretty much anything that Obama does to try to promote economic growth and job creation.

Take for example the leftover TARP funds. Apparently, the Republicans were perfectly happy giving that money to the banksters but the mere suggestion that those funds be used to promote economic growth and job creation efforts is "obscene."
