Yes. I would like to see every gun in the U.S. destroyed. But I think that would be like trying to eliminate drugs from society. It just isn't going to happen.

I grew up in Montana and my father was a police sharpshooter. He taught me how to be a crack shot.

Ok cool, just curious. It's always been my belief that fewer people would see guns as evil if they had personal, and fun, experiences with them. That said, I won't disparage you in your opinion.

Why do you think that? And my opinion, as someone who has yet to shoot a gun, is just as valid as anyone else's. That's the beauty of opinions. Now maybe you'd take my violent offenders sociology class you'd feel a little different about guns....

I doubt I would. And I think that because most people who hate guns also fear them, and that use and understanding can remove fear, thus removing hate.

Ah so you know every one of those people? Nope. I don't fear guns. I've been around guns plenty. I've got vets in my family and my grandfather when he was a live had guns and kept them around. And yes you would after reading all about the horrible things that happen thanks to the assistance of a gun. If it wasn't for the gun there wouldn't be so many victims.

And guns are used more in crimes specifically the types of crimes I'm studying now such as homicide, sexual homicide, robbery.
