Consider the Chik-fil-A fiasco a few years ago. The company was quick to distance themselves from the comments of the founder's son, David Cathy and a flap about donations to charities. More recently, they've pissed off the anti-woke, racist, homophobic Alt-Right by appointing a vice president of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI). In the end, it's simply smarter for corporations to stay apolitical.
