No doubt. But if he's weighing campaign strategies against staying out of prison strategies he might decide that appealing to the basest sympathies of his base has become the choice to make. In this he may be smarter than his lawyers. Or it might blow up in his face.

I strongly doubt Trump wants to spend billions of his own money on his campaign. Worse, I doubt he has access to billions in cash.

As JPP proves daily, there really are fucking morons who believe him, but Trump is quickly wearing out his usefulness with Independents and the smarter Republicans. Major donors will start shifting their money to other Republican candidates. Trump's campaign will simply implode over the next year or less.

Agreed. There was hesitancy, but all the major Republicans know, behind the scenes, that Trump is toast. Their concern isn't Trump but his fans. They want his fans to vote for them and not just stay home in frustration.
