China is a Communist country, that has a totally Democratic state- Taiwan.
Our challenge is to try and keep this arrangement and everybody happy.
And the only way to do this is to have a better relationship with mainland China.
So whatever differences between China and the US have, need to be ironed out and quick.
Treating Taiwan as an Ally, and Mainland China like an enemy, is not going to work.
Of course the best way to treat China would be to have a FTA with them, but we are the ones standing in the way of that.
Because of the imbalance of trade between our countries the US is not going to allow a Free Trade Agreement with them.
But, I believe that a perfect balance of trade is impossible, and so I believe that the US may have to just find a way to get over that, because on paper it looks like we need China's stuff more than they need our stuff. Hey, I'm just the news boy so don't shoot me for telling it like it really is.
China is moving more manufacturing our way, and that puts more Americans to work. And just since the pandemic, we are moving our manufacturing back home and leaving China because of the political efforts behind it- and also because of supply chain issues. So, not sure how or if their manufacturing here, and our manufacturing there will ever become in total balance either. And here is where China may just have to get over that!
But, I believe that China and the US will work all of this out, as long as we are making an effort to do so, and as long as we are willing to negotiate.
But without the US One China policy which is non-negotiable, all three countries would be in a war that none of us want to fight, and we would all have more to lose than could ever be gained from it, and we would all live to regret it.
