Real War on Hanukkah! Menorah egged!

Its more of a war than was ever wadged on X-mas...

Christians have such a persecution complex....

Now our right to not celebrate X-Mas is somehow infringing on there rights to have America be a Christian Nation!

ugh:palm:

Don't be silly. Nobody, except maybe Southern Man, argues for a "Christian Nation." I've yet to hear any serious politician run, let alone win, on any such platform.

Those Christians just like, as is their right, to celebrate openly without the attempt to shame them into shutting up.

Practice a bit of that tolerance that you are supposed to hold so dear when you are a "liberal" rather than practicing speech limitations and pretending that it is "tolerance".

Thats excatly my point, I am very tolerant, until that tolerance allows someone to invade someones rights...

So just because some Americans choose not to celebrate X-Mas and the big department stores dont want there employees to appear exclusive and asked them to use the more inclusive Happy Holidays, Liberals are the ones not being tolerant?

Those who dont celebrate X-Mas are the ones trying to interfere with the rights of those who do celebrate? WOW, thats backward! GIve me one example of someone trying to prevent someone from celebrating X-Mas openly!!! I can show you where a menorah was egged.... By all you got is that a department store wants the employees to say Happy Holidays! Geesh!

And dont come at me with some state sponsored celebration someone tried to stop, because that is not about preventing people from celebrating openly, its about preventing the Government from promoting....

"All you got"? It's like you haven't lived any portion of your life with a memory. You've spent how long on here trying to get everybody to say the same thing you do in the name of this pretend "tolerance" only to pretend that it hasn't even happened?

It's like you went and sold your brain to Satan in order to pass law school or something.

So tell me, "Mr. Information"... Which politician has run on the platform of forming a "Christian Nation" and won?

Christmas is based on on a much older pagan tradition anyway? Dont you ever ask what a tree has to do with Jesus anyway?

lol, dude.....the tree is an aspect of the secular Christmas celebration, not Christianity....I'll bet you're one of those guys who objects to Santa Claus in schools as an "establishment of religion" aren't you.......

Do you know how the tradition got started, that an angel is on top of the tree??
The tradition is so old that it out dates any of the modern religions. The angel was added later by the catholic church. The tradition is called the Yuletide a celibration of the winter solstice.

This is the TRUE story :cof1:

The Little Angel on the Top of the Christmas Tree!

One particular Christmas season a long time ago, Santa was getting ready for his annual trip but there were problems everywhere. Four of his elves got sick, and the trainee elves did not produce the toys as fast as the regular ones so Santa was beginning to feel the pressure of being behind schedule. Then Mrs. Claus told Santa that her Mom was coming to visit; this stressed Santa even more.

When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two had jumped the fence and were out at heaven knows where. More stress.

Then when he began to load the sleigh one of the boards cracked and the toy bag fell to the ground and scattered the toys. So, frustrated, Santa went into the house for a cup of coffee and a shot of whiskey. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered that the elves had hid the liquor and there was nothing to drink.

In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the coffeepot and it broke into hundreds of little pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found that mice had eaten the straw it was made of. Just then the doorbell rang and Santa cussed on his way to the door. He opened the door and there was a little angel with a great big Christmas tree.

The angel said, very cheerfully, "Merry Christmas Santa. Isn't it just a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Isn't it just a lovely tree? Where would you like me to stick it?

Thus began the tradition of the little angel on top of the tree.
