A man whose prison sentence was commuted by former Oregon Gov. Kate Brown in 2021 has been linked to the deaths of four women who were found within three months this year and within 100 miles of each other in the greater Portland area.

Jesse Lee Calhoun, 38, was among 41 prisoners whose sentences Brown commuted for fighting wildfires in 2020. Calhoun went to prison in 2019 on stolen vehicle and burglary convictions.

Sooooooo...... lessee here......

1) So far he's a person of interest, not charged or even a suspect.

2) The crime he was doing time for was burglary and auto theft, both non-violent offenses.

3) He only got one year taken off his original sentence which means he'd have been out soon anyway.

4) Right-wingers are fucking morons who spout bullshit on the internet for lack of anything constructive to do with their useless time.

Fact is

Keeping people locked up to do their FULL sentence will save lives...would have here!!! And there are 1000s other examples of that
 
It makes more sense to humanely euthanize people [not punitively execute them]

than to keep them caged for a prolonged period of time.

Assess viability of rehabilitation.
With prospects unlikely, humanely euthanize.
Caging humans is barbaric, including for being criminally insane.
We punish people for being sick which is unjustifiable.

The sentence is the subjective opinion of a judge that has been given the legal latitude to be subjective.

Subjectivity is ALWAYS reasonably subject itself to review.

He needed to be kindly and gently put to sleep like a hopelessly sick pet.

The goal was to keep society safe from him,

I got a DUI in 1986 got caged for 48 hours...didn't learn my lesson.. Got another one in 1988 got caged for 45 days learned my lesson not been back
