McCarthy to force vote on Israel

House Republicans are preparing to force a floor vote Tuesday designed to put Dems on the record on Israel in the middle of a major intra-party rift. What's happening? Speaker Kevin McCarthy's leadership team discussed the upcoming Israel vote in a private meeting Monday, according to three Republicans familiar with the conversations, and later rolled it out to a broader meeting of GOP whips.

What's coming to the floor? A resolution that would affirm support for Israel — essentially rebuking recent comments from Progressive Caucus Chair Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), who called Israel a “racist” state and drew sharp backlash from within her own party. Jayapal has since apologized for the remarks.

The resolution, set to be introduced by Rep. August Pfluger (R-Texas), would also be timed with the visit of Israel President Isaac Herzog, who will address Congress on Wednesday.

Put the Democrats on the record and send a message to Biden and the Squad.

"Steadfast support for Israel’s security has been a cornerstone of American foreign policy for every U.S. Administration since the presidency of Harry S. Truman. Since its founding in 1948, the United States has provided Israel with over $125 billion in bilateral assistance focused on addressing new and complex security threats, bridging Israel’s capability gaps through security assistance and cooperation, increasing interoperability through joint exercises, and helping Israel maintain its Qualitative Military Edge (QME). This assistance has helped transform the Israel Defense Forces into one of the world’s most capable, effective military's and turned the Israeli military industry and technology sector into one of the largest exporters of military capabilities worldwide. Since 1983, the United States and Israel have met annually via the Joint Political-Military Group (JPMG) to promote shared policies, address common threats and concerns, and identify new areas for security cooperation. The January 2021 JPMG reaffirmed the ironclad strategic partnership between the United States and Israel, underscoring a mutual commitment to advance collaboration in support of regional security and reinforce the historic achievements of recent normalization efforts in the Middle East."

These anti-Semitic, Democratic racists are in direct conflict with our State Dept. policy.

Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib are Muslims.

The Koran is in direct conflict to the US Constitution.

The camels' noses are in the tent.

My guess is that one third plus of the Democrat House Members would support (Arabs) (Palestinians ) ( Iranians ) ... over Israel (The tiny Jewish State).

These anti-Semitic, Democratic racists should be censured.

No, they should be identified and made public. Let voters decide on that. What lets them get away with it is they are never held accountable for their words. If they get reelected, that says a lot about those electing them too. The best remedy for bigots and racists is to put them on public display.

The Koran that they support is in direct conflict with the Constitution.

There was a time in America, a better time, when those in direct conflict with the Constitution could not serve in government (Socialists, Marxists, Communists.)

Why allow the camels' noses in the tent?

Being inclusive does not include those who want to replace our Constitution with the Koran and Sharia Law.
