Not the purpose of prison, dumbass. People in prison don't WANT rehabilitation and have shown no interest in improving their lives in front of the judge that sent them there.

He was NOT rehabilitated. He was sent to prison BECAUSE he wouldn't rehabilitate. Once he decide he had enough of getting locked up, he quit committing the offense.

Prisons aren't psychiatric wards or hospitals. They are not designed to be. They are designed to separate those who are a danger to society from the society they are endangering by breaking serious laws that society created.

Prison is NOT a 'rehabilitation center'. It is not designed to be. It is designed to be a punishment. Charles Manson earned his life sentence by brutally murdering people. He will not be 'rehabilitated'. He is a murderer paying the price for his crimes. He has shown NO inclination to be anything different than a brutal murderer.

Don't want to go to prison? Don't commit the crime that puts you there!
