Exec says stores are done with Bud Light

Retailers already planning to reallocate Bud Light's shelf space, rival drink executive says

The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that "Bud Light sales might never fully regain the ground they have lost to competitors" as stores clear their shelves to make room for other brands.

Bud Light sparked a firestorm of controversy in April after it collaborated with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Since then the beer has suffered a nearly 30% loss in sales compared to the year before. On Thursday, Anheuser-Busch InBev also announced that it would be laying off hundreds of workers.

The Wall Street Journal noted that as Bud Light sales continue "cratering," the "biggest beneficiary of Bud Light’s woes" is rival company Molson Coors Beverage.

As the saying goes, Go Woke, Go Broke.

You're an idiot. AB isn't going broke anytime soon.

Maybe not soon but they've lost 30% in profits since this went down.

Now that retailers are not going to be stocking their product how long do you think they are going to last?

Companies who deliver Budweiser products have to purchase routes, that's how it works, those routes are now being cancelled and the drivers laid off.

It is coming up on crunch time for AB right now, they have to do some major marketing or pull off some gimmick to get sales back or they will eventually go broke or be relegated so some sort of third party beer company who sells their product for half the price in dollar stores.

Wut sockpuppet?

btw, I'm calling you a sock because I know for sure you are.

If you really piss me off I'll find out where you live and come pay you a visit.

Perhaps they should ask Bud Light's marketing person...oh, wait, she was fired...and her supervisor.

Yeah it doesn't look like AB is going to recover from this, at least not anytime soon.

They may have to go for a long strategy of trying to build their brand up again, probably when the younger generation becomes of drinking age.

This will definitely go down as one of the worst blunders in advertising history.

The entire thing happened because AB tried to go political and forgot who their consumers were.

Indeed.

Beer drinkers do not want politics and trans freaks involved in their beer drinking.

Sports enthusiasts do no want politics involved in sporting events.

People watch sports to get away from the onslaught of politics yet these WOKE loons continue with their attempt at far left indoctrination.

At least the Bud Light executives have learned a valuable lesson...don't mix trans freaks with beer drinking.

The police department in the small hill country town of Kerrville,Texas, reported finding a man's body last Saturday, early evening, in the Pedernales River near the state highway 87 bridge. The dead man's name would not be released until his family had been notified.

The victim apparently drowned due to excessive Bud Light consumption while visiting "someone" in Fredericksburg. When he was found, he was wearing black fishnet stockings, 10 inch spiked heels, a red garter belt, a pink G-string, purple lipstick, dazzle dust on his eyelids, 2 1/2 inch false eyelashes, and a Biden T-shirt.

The police removed the Biden T-shirt to spare his family any unnecessary embarrassment.

AB InBev Reports Second Quarter 2023
Results
Continued global momentum, partially offset by US performance, delivered high-
single digit revenue growth
“Our business delivered another quarter of profitable growth. Revenue increased by 7.2% with an EBITDA increase of
5.0%.
We continue to invest in our strategic priorities for the long-term.” – Michel Doukeris, CEO, AB InBev

How can a company that has a 30% loss in profits have an increase in profits of 5%?

Oh.. it's because you don't know the difference between a company and a country.

The whole, boring "Bud Light story" isn't that complicated.

Bud Light is an extremely mediocre beer generally favored by dimwitted "Joe Sixpack" types.

The promotors of this brand failed to recognize their own demographic and thus took some wrong turns in their marketing approach.
It happens in the business world all of the time.

Meanwhile, the parent holding company of brewery operations
has plenty of other brands, some better than others, to continue selling.

Bottom line: none of this matters much, but we're still nonetheless talking about it.
