Globull warming redux

Two days ago I was watching a national weather report showing the "heat dome" inferno over the South with high temperatures expected for the day. It showed New Orleans having a high of 112* which would have been10* higher than the highest ever on record there. Later that day I got a call from an old friend that lives there. It was about 2:00 pm there.
He told me it was around 92 , completely normal for this time of year.

I think anyone who owns a thermometer knows that the temperature at Point A and Point B (In this case probably the Airport) can be and often are different. It doesn't matter what some random Yat says about the temperature.

No excuse for being 20* wrong.
And I seriously doubt it was the National Weather Service.
It was media propaganda, no doubt.
