Trump and 18 of his allies were indicted Monday night by a Georgia grand jury for engaging in a broad conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election.

"This RICO indictment could have been applied to us Democrats who challenged the Bush v. Gore election in Florida," Dershowitz said. "It could have been used against Thomas Jefferson in 1800. It could have been used in the Tilden Hayes election. It could have been used against John F. Kennedy's people in Hawaii. Election challenges are a central part of America."

Some of the charges that Trump and others such as Mark Meadows and Rudy Giuliani are facing include allegedly making false statements to officials and false statements in relation to voting machines and "false electors."

Trump is also receiving backlash due to a 2021 phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger where he asked him to help him "find 11,780 votes."

Dershowitz said that that conversation was exculpatory, but not incriminating.

"You listen to that conversation from beginning to end and you read the transcript," he said. "It's clear what he was doing. He wasn't saying to manufacture or make votes. He was saying 'there are votes out there that haven't been counted. We have to find those votes.'"

"That's what I said in Florida in 2000," Dershowitz continued. "'We can find 600 votes-the butterfly ballots, the hanging chads. Come on, let's get to work. Let's find 600 votes and turn this election over to Al Gore.' I didn't do anything wrong, and certainly he didn't do anything wrong in this conversation. There may be more that we don't know about."

Dershowitz is a highly controversial figure that could argue with a fence post on any given controversial political subject. His problem is consistency! He tends to flip flop or contradict himself, depending on where the money is coming in for himself at any given time.

Both the Democrats and Republicans have a Love/Hate relationship with him. He tends to love circular arguments and get right in the middle of a Constitutional Crisis and stir the pot.

But, one thing for sure, his many public comments always tend to raise more questions rather than ever make a solid case for the pros or the cons on anything!

Let's assume all that is true, and for this discussion I dont really care if it is or isn't , what matters more to me is, is anything he said about this issue factually incorrect? If so what is it and how do you know it's factually incorrect?

First of all, Dershowitz knows God Damn well- In criminal law, exculpatory evidence is still evidence, regardless whether it it favors the defendant or the Prosecution.

But, just like in all of the the indictments Donald Trump is facing, none of the charges are centered around or dependent upon what Trump said or didn't say, but rather the ILLEGAL ACTIONS Donald Trump took or LEGAL ACTIONS he didn't take- that he is being charged for.

And you''ll notice Douche-O-Witz didn't even mention those during his conversations with Sean Hannity, who also never mentions those on their Fox News- "LET'S MAKE EXCUSES FOR DONALD TRUMP" episode on the night of the Georgia Indictment!

I just wanted to know what illegal actions and offered an example. You became unhinged.

I have no concerns. Trump won't be convicted of anything.

You realize dont you that trump won't be convicted of anything right? No one actually involved in the case has any interest in actually convicting trump, you know that right? If or when that happens it will be bad news for everyone involved.
