Why does the government refer to the plant scientifically classified as Cannabis, by it's Mexican nickname ¿Marijuana?
The police, for example, will arrest you on "possession of marijuana" charges, not cannabis.
Yet every other "drug" (cocaine, heroin, etc) no nickname is ever used for official proceedings.
What I'm saying is, you don't stand in front of a judge charged with "possession of blow" on the court documents.
WHY MARIJUANA?
The name marijuana (Mexican Spanish marihuana, mariguana) is now well known in English (solely) due to the efforts of American drug prohibitionists during the 1920s and 1930s, who deliberately used a Mexican name for cannabis in order to turn the populace against the idea that it should be legal. Harry J. Anslinger warned the nation in an openly racist fashion that Jazz and marijuana had blacks and whites sitting down as equals and even "dancing together in teahouses." [2]

Over and over again the government of the United States scares the white majority with "brown-man, boogy-man" lies and fear mongering to get their legislation passed. It is a fundamental truth that Cannabis is undoubtedly an "herb bearing seed". A search through the New Testament reveals that answer; Cannabis prohibition was foretold in the prophecy written in the 1st book of Timothy, chapter 4:

To those who question one's "effectiveness" while consuming cannabis, I ask, do you eat all the same foods as your friends?
For instance, can you handle eating a handful of the hottest peppers you can find? I'm sure I could without batting an eye, but if someone could not does that make him a lesser person, or I superior?
