It goes without saying that if Trump was to get away with it, that any time you had GOP POTUS and his VP as President of the Senate, who knew they were likely to lose re-election, then as long as they held an advantage in the House in a Contingent Election, they would have the VP reject the State Electors and just force a vote in the House, where they then would win.
Why would they now when they are out if they don't do it anyway, and the only harm to them is they are out, if it fails. Same punishment but a second chance to win by stealing the election from the people.
