“ If Trump were an ordinary citizen he would be in jail”

No, Trump hating prosecutors presented cherry picked evidence to them in four separate locales...
Lol, was any of it untrue? Don’t DAs usually present just the enough evidence to get an indictment? They save the best and the rest for the trial.

No, they work hard to get a plea deal. Trials are risky and uncertain. In fact, when faced with an entrenched and well-off defendant, they are often at a loss on how to proceed successfully. They can't get a plea deal, and the trial falls apart.

So? If you’re guilty and face a trial, isn’t a plea deal the way to go? Otherwise, fight it if you’re innocent. Federal prosecutors are known for only bringing cases they can win.

Trump will fight it hoping to buy time and try to keep himself out of jail, before he dies of natural causes is my prediction.

Depends. If I faced a long stint in prison for something, say 10 years, and the plea deal was for say 3 years and such, and I had the resources to go to trial, I'd take the trial. Why? Because a plea deal is iron clad, open and shut. You have no appeal rights, nada, zip point shit. In the three years I'd do for the plea deal, I have plenty of time to go to appeal and get the sentence reduced or overturned after a trial. I'm likely to do less time doing the trial route.

In fact, as things get close to a trial, and the prosecution is worried about a potential loss or the cost, they may even try to reduce the plea deal down to next to nothing just to get a quick win rather than go to trial.

Trump has the means and access to lawyers that will make that situation more and more apparent as things move forward.

I doubt you’re right, but excited to see their defense. I haven’t been impressed with their TV appearances.

Was that a federal case?

Doesn't matter.

On the federal side I knew someone a while back that got hit with a federal low level felony charge. The guy wanted to fight it so I recommended this really bad ass defense attorney here in Phoenix. This guy is one that like mobsters, the Hell's Angels, and rich get to defend them when they get caught.

It was headed to trail and ended up being pled out as a minor misdemeanor with him doing some community service. Sound familiar to somebody else?

That shit happens. A good lawyer knows the law. A great lawyer knows the judge... It's far more about the process and your ability to fight back than it is about legalities and the law.

It does matter, the federal conviction rate is very high.
