Typical Trumpian response. There were many saying Trump would refuse to leave if he lost and they were right. He did many things to stay in the Whitehouse that he lost in a fair and square election. Would Trump do something like that again? Of course, and worse.

Depends. But it appears the powers that be in the GOP are willing to do whatever he wants, including eliminating the Constitutional requirement. Would not be surprised at all. I think he wants to be Putin. Fortunately, I will have time to leave the country before that happens. If you don't think that the assholes here would turn in their neighbors, you haven't been paying attention.

I believe that if Trump somehow wins, he will immediately use emergency powers to shut down the free press, take over the courts, and start jailing people for free speech. He WILL suspend the Constitution, and these weak cowards disgusting GOP leaders will let him. If Trump wins, Democracy is over. Simple as that. 2020 was a test run. God help us all if he gets in again.

All that being said, I think the chances are rapidly approaching zero. A third party is the scariest scenario out there. At this point, any vote for a third party is a vote to end Democracy. Period. Full stop.

It's odd to spend time on a political message board in 2023 and NOT expect to see anyone talking about Trump. He is, without a doubt, the most dominant figure in American politics right now.

And again, as a reminder - this is a POLITICAL message board. So, the expectation should really be that there would be a lot of discussion around Trump.

For some reason, that makes some here uncomfortable.

Trump pulled out all of the stops - legally & illegally - to try to stay in power.

Next time, he'll have more time. And he has more loyalists in place in key voting areas next time, as well.
