so bush alone controls the entire US economy? the legislative branch or the feds or other private enterprises have no control?

Look at the context of the discussion, bozo. Bravo was BRAGGING about the economy during the Bush years.

I am not claiming it is ALL the Prez, but he is certainly the steward of the economy, and he gets credit as well as blame when it goes well or badly. Bravo bragging about decent economic times that were clearly, in hindsight, built on a house of cards is dubious at best.

But you're too much of a blind hack to recognize that, or even look at what the context of the discussion is.

The context was bravo bragging about the economy in the Bush years, and me making a very apt comparison to a bad CEO, who you don't realize is bad until you've lost your life savings. That was the extent of the comparison to the CEO. If you look at the context, and are able to read, you would see that I'm not saying "George Bush is exactly like the CEO of a corporation."

whats truly comical about your spin is that you earlier replied to my comment stating you compared the office of the POTUS to a ceo....and you didn't deny it....here, you actually bolster the fact you made the comparison but you're not intelligent enough to see it

try to gain a better understanding of an analogy so you don't look so stupid....you can't even see that you reinforce the analogy by again declaring that you "made a very apt comparison to a CEO, who you don't realize is bad until you've lost your life savings." you're flat out saying that it was bush alone who caused us to lose our life savings...you don't mention anyone else, you only mention bush and even declare you made an apt comparison to the ceo of enron....if bush alone isn't responsible for you losing your life savings, there would be absolutely no need to compare him to one person, especially a ceo of a company

I asked if he would say a CEO whose employees lost their life savings credit for doing a bang-up job right up until the day they lost their savings. Here is what that means: if Bush was presiding over an economic house of cards, the snapshots of unemployment #'s and stock indexes don't mean squat, because ultimately, it all failed.

It doesn't even matter who gets credit or blame for the "failure," in that context (though I understand how big you are about making sure Bush gets no accountability whatsoever). All that matters is that bravo can't rightly apply credit for the good #'s, while ignoring the ultimately disastrous result.

Understand? I didn't think so. You have a very child-like view of the world, but - as I said - it is entertaining!

like i said, your analogy sucks, you need to work on it....the country is in no way comparable to enron and bush is in no way comparable to ken lay....

and iirc....all bravo did was point out that bush did have highlights under his tenure...that part is true, bush also had very bad highlights under his tenure...but the comparison to a ceo is just plain stupid....bush is not in charge of the country like a ceo is in charge of a company....especially a company that was so dishonest and did overt acts to destroy the company, unlike bush who, even as you admit, alone was not responsible and i don't see that he purposefully did anything to cause the economic problems, quite unlike your comparison to enron....

just accept you made a lousy analogy and move on padawan.....you'll be happier, trust me

It was a good analogy. Your issue is that you're one of those idiots who takes every analogy completely literally & too the nth degree. Like when a good QB is coming out of college, and someone says he reminds them of Brady, because of the way he throws or something like that, and then someone will react along the lines of "oh my godzers! He's saying this guy is just like hall of famer Tom Brady!"

You also get very defensive about Bush, as in, your immediate reaction to a comment like mine is "oh my godzers! He's blaming Bush 100% for the bad economy!" (which wasn't what I was doing, btw).

Because your "falsehoods" comment was in direct response to my posts on this thread. All I have said on the thread is that Bush made the disastrous decision to go to war with Iraq, and presided over a huge economic collapse.

Are either of those claims "false"?
