A hashtag campaign pushed by right-wing ideologues and rife with antisemitic content is trending on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, and being shown support by owner Elon Musk. It’s a new low for a platform that has seemingly abandoned the fight against hate speech.

On Thursday, a number of accounts began tweeting #BanTheADL, calling on Musk to remove the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) from the site. The ADL is a civil rights organization focused on combating antisemitism and extremism. Momentum for the action seems to have been stirred by a meeting earlier in the week between the ADL’s national director, Jonathan Greenblatt, and Linda Yaccarino, in which the pair discussed how to curb the hate and toxic propaganda that have flourished on X ever since Musk’s takeover last year.

ADL is all about WOKE now, much like the Southern Poverty Law Center....organizations that were once useful that have turned to the dark side.

I don't know if this means Musk is antisemitic as much as it means Musk has a mindset of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". Musk wants the wheels off the bus on X so he can garner the love and support of a bunch of folks that he probably couldn't actually care less about. Musk seems like Trump NOT so much in his overt hatred of certain groups, but more in his LOVE OF HIMSELF.

X is a platform that allows Musk to play like he's an "edgelord" because he's never really grown out of his teenage years.

So he is onboard with people stopping ANYONE who might try to put the brakes on X's descent into utter sewage. NOT because he is antisemitic but because he wants no one but himself dicking with X's running.

WOKE has corrupted/hijacked all of our institutions, which is why the people like TOP! who think that this revolution can still be put down this late in the game are wrong.

And you are speaking to an old school Leftist progressive...I dont speak for the Right but I do note that the Revolutions attempts to generate violence from the Right have failed so spectacularly that they have been forced to run false flag operations.

I get it...the Bill Maher approach. It's reasonable to point out how the Left may have overreached. But honestly the Right's RESPONSE to the potentially goofy extremes to be found in the "woke" movement has been waaaaaay overblown. CRT is just facing our own history. Gender Discussions are just being open to realizing not everyone's experience of life is the same.

The Woke movement such as it is (encompassing even those things which were not originally part of the "woke" belief set) is just an attempt to get people to be accepting to everyone.

Sure, like all things that involve humans, there are going to be loons on the extreme. And Woke is no stranger to that. But the general concept at its core is valid and valuable. It is one of INCLUSION, not status quo hatred for the sake of the status quo.

Kent " Boneface" McLellan was arrested by the FBI in Florida for domestic terrorism in May of 2012. The FBI said he and others were “preparing a terrorist act against national minorities in Florida.”

He then fled to Ukraine to join Right Sector (a creation of the CIA) in 2014. In 2022, he returned to Ukraine and was reportedly deported. Now he’s back in Florida where he’s active in the local Nazi scene. Yesterday he was on I-4 with a group of Nazis who were saying they support Joe Biden while they were waving swastika flags and shouting slurs at me because I am Jewish.

There is no way you get away with all of that after being arrested by the FBI for domestic terrorism, and there’s no way you get away with traveling to Ukraine to fight in a foreign war as an American Citizen defected mercenary unless you are some type of FBI or CIA informant.

Elon Musk has confirmed that advertisers' revenues have plummeted by 60%. The cause behind this decline is the ADL's relentless pressure on advertisers to discontinue their support for X, effectively attempting to shut it down.

They persistently employ identity politics as a means to suppress any dissent or criticism directed at their actions.

This issue transcends political affiliations. I've observed individuals across the political spectrum engaging in identity politics on this platform and falsely accusing others of anti-Semitism, even though many prominent Jewish accounts have been targeted by the ADL.

Whatever it was in the past, today the ADL is a hate group that dons a religious mask to justify stoking hatred of the left's enemies.

I believe in the First Amendment and free speech as a principle regardless of what the law says. I don’t want to ban anyone’s speech. But the ADL has no place extorting X/Twitter or any other social media companies, nor should it dictate to federal law enforcement agencies what hate speech is.

The ADL itself is America's number-one purveyor of hate speech (and the SPLC is #2).

On how many sites did this hash tag appear? One? Was it an Arab leftist that you are calling a rightist extremist? Are you pretending that this guy is countless people?

So the big question is how Elon Musk is somehow "wading deeper" into the "antisemitic propaganda" just because a random nutcase is calling on him to do something. Would you care to explain this so that this thread can start in the right direction?
