When I see no gun violence is all 5 boroughs I will believe t he cops are doing there job and getting the criminals, a law abiding citizen that goes threw all the shit NYC wants ya to do in order to buy a gun is not likely to be out committing murder with it, or any kind of crime for that matter

Top it has been that way for at least 20 years I would hardly call that a finger snap, LOL
I bought my first gun when I was 20 or so, legally that is, the laws were in effect then, only a Moron would think after all these years presto magico it is working, and again try and let this sink in, people that buy there guns legally are not the ones doing the crimes, it is apparent you have not spent much time in the city, if you had you would know #1 there are parts of the city you don't go into unarmed #2 guns can and are bought illegally everyday #3 Manhattan is 1 borough and as I have stated quite a few times it has really been cleaned up over the last few years

Not sure, really don't much care, I hope it has been going down, but see I take care of me and mine, but being you want stats how about tell me how many people that went and bought there gun legally over the past 10 years say have committed murder with them, seems like if ya could prove all these citizens who are buying there guns legally are committing the murders I would have to admit I am wrong, but ya can't so I am not, and well your at the stat thing has the murder rate went down in the other 4 boroughs ? I wonder if your stats would get you threw the Market in the Bronx, LMAO

Husbands and wive's shoot each other daily with legal guns, kids shoot each other too. LOL
And if you drive a car you are much more likely to die in a car accident. If you own a pool you are more likely to drown. If you own a trampoline you are more likely to die in a trampoline accident... If you own a motorcycle you are more likely to die while riding a motorcycle...

If you own a computer you are more likely to die while surfing the internet...
If you use inside plumbing you are more likely to die while using that plumbing than while using an outhouse. This is conversely true if you use an outhouse over inside plumbing...

This is something that I never could understand. What difference does it make that something is designed to kill or not? It doesn't matter. A better question would be: is it a necessary item? Motorcycle...no, trampoline...no, swimming pool...no. But people still have them and use them for their enjoyment thought they are potentially deadly. Guns are the same way. For most folks, myself included, they are not necessary items. But I keep them around for entertainment despite the fact that they are potentially deadly...kind of like trampolines and such.
Far more people die in drownings than in accidents with a gun, same with cars. It seems they are far more efficient than the tool designed for it.
The reality is we take risk in life, that is part of being alive. The question we should be asking is, "Is this freedom worth this risk?"
And so far every time my answer would be, "Yes." And in the matter of guns the answer wouldn't just be "yes" but "Hayul YES"...
