sep 29 2023 ATLANTA (AP) — A bail bondsman charged alongside former President Donald Trump and 17 others in the Georgia election interference case pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges on Friday, becoming the first defendant to accept a plea deal with prosecutors.

As part of the deal, Scott Graham Hall will receive five years of probation and agreed to testify in further proceedings. He was also ordered to write a letter of apology to the citizens of Georgia and is forbidden from participating in polling activities.

Hall's attorney Jeff Weiner, who was in court with him Friday, said under the deal, his client's record will be wiped clean after he completes probation. The agreement allows Hall to avoid the stress of “living under a serious felony indictment” without knowing when he might go to trial, the attorney said in a phone interview.

He agreed to testify as part of the agreement. Guess who he worked closest with?

Clark, the guy from DOJ who wanted to be appointed AG, and Sidney Powell.

And in return rolls over on trump and other defendants. It's called "plea-bargaining". You roll over, aka "flip" a little fish to get to a much bigger one. I don't see why you're celebrating.

He's going to sing like a canary.

He hacked into voting data without authorization. That's a pretty huge breach of the law.

Mr. Hall pleaded guilty to five misdemeanor counts of intentional interference with performance of election duties.

He is to pay a $5,000 fine, surrender his firearms carry license, perform 200 hours of community service and write a letter of apology to the people of Georgia. He is not to participate in any activities related to the administration of elections, and he agreed to testify truthfully against other co-defendants if called upon to do so.

One of the conditions of the plea as that he cooperates with prosecutors and testifies against others.

Hall agreed to serve five years of probation and, importantly for the prosecution’s case, to testify “truthfully in this case and all further proceedings.” That could affect the fortunes of those with whom he is alleged to have interacted, including pro-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell, whose own trial in the case is set to begin Oct. 23, as well as former Justice Department lawyer Jeffrey Clark.

Naw, he merely has the info that will get to Clark, Powell and Latham.

Once that’s done, we can see what information THEY have and on whom. Each step gets closer to Trump. Clark and Powell are damn close to Trump.
