Am I the only one who wondered why trump opted for a bench trial, negating his chance to nullify a jury?

Am I the only one who wondered why trump is publicly bashing the judge who is literally sitting in judgement of him?

My wondering is over.

If I had to guess, he would be fined and be in and out without the nuisance of a lengthy trial

I'm still waiting to see what the defense has to say. It's odd for a judge to mention the bench trial.

It's possible that trump thought as you mentioned above, but he never lets an opportunity to tamper with a jury pass.

Is his lawyer truly this incompetent?

But with a Bench decision it is easier for him to use it politically, make it all about a prejudiced Judge who was out to get him, sells with his base and allows the Murdoch entities to frame it as a witch hunt. His base would never have the patience nor probably intellect to follow a detailed legal defense as it developed in a court room

And Fox is regurgitating the lie without even mentioning Trump’s lawyers didn’t ask for a jury trial when given the option
 
Because she is pretty and reminds him of a younger Melania, which i think she does on purpose, in the way she dresses and styles herself.

She is a complete buffoon of a lawyer. I remember Laura Ingraham being in shock that she did not do some filing for Trump, as that would preclude Trump appealing, and Habba was oblivious.

Actually...I believe a civil trial only requires a majority of the jury to find for the plaintiff? So jury nullification is harder.

But...the defense seemed confused about where the jury was, so something was off.
