The point really isn't about the non existent Palestine but the actually existing Palestinians, so called, i.e., people who lived there, for generations. The area itself historically was almost anyone's, including Christians.

And from 1917 – 1947 the region was ruled by the British who gave it to the Jews...it was theirs to give!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



Before that he region was part of the Ottoman Empire BUT NEVER ITS OWN COUNTRY WITH A PALESTINE PEOPLE

Historically, it was part of the Ottoman Empire for over 500 years....then it was British from 1916 to 1948. It's been Israeli ever since. About 75% of Israeli Jews were born there.

Let's be clear about differentiating between the Palestinians who are trying to live peacefully in and around Israel or other nations and those Palestinians who are part of Hamas or overtly or covertly support terrorist attacks.

And before the Ottoman Empire it was controlled by Rome and became Christian under Constantine. No side can claim the history as theirs. I’m not defending Hamas, just saying this mess has a context of blame that starts with the UN. If the Jews needed a homeland after the war maybe they should have been given a nice slice of Germany.

Israel is the Jewish homeland. Jews have been flocking back since the 19th century. The Holocaust just incentivized more of them to do it sooner rather than later.

Let's not forget that the region was divided between Palestinian Jews and Palestinian Muslims. When Israel declared themselves as a nation, the Arab nations told the Palestinian Muslims to get out of the way then come back later. The Arabs lost and there was no later. Anyone who claims Israel threw out peaceful people doesn't know history.

Yeah, that's brutal...but then again dropping bombs from planes or using drone strikes that shred EVERYBODY including non-combatants (women & kids) is just as nasty....just not up close and personal.
