Interesting... I used a Salem zip code for my estimate.

The cost for the Bronze plan that most resembles my current plan is $196. I currently pay $134. The deductible for the MA plan is $2k where mine is $3k. Maximum out of pocket is the same. The plans are fairly different, as there is not an HSA type plan available, so take the comparison with a grain of salt.

Bottom line though, would I be forced out of my HSA plan into one of their's?

no this is for people with no company plan.
 
Mine winds up being $1,365.52 per month to get same as I have now.. Its a Gold plan tuffs that I currently pay $160 a month for under my corporate benefit.

Are you comparing what you pay under your current employer-sponsored plan with a comparable plan on the individual insurance market?

yep.. cobra on my plan would be about 2K.. So id be better off canceling.. then redoing thru the state the same exact plan.

Have you tried to price out what you would pay for a comparable individual insurance plan in other states? I imagine the price would be just as high.
