Israel is RESPONDING to the slaughter of their citizens. Hamas puts their military facilities in civilian areas...under a hospital. Hamas uses human shields.

If you expect Israel not to respond when attacked, you are beyond naive.

The deaths of innocents in Gaza are on Hamas. If they had not slaughtered innocent Israelis, there would be no war in Gaza. If you do not respond when attacked, you die.

Characteristics that westerners consider noble, honorable, Christian and kind are viewed by Muslims as signs of weakness. Muslim societies are strictly hierarchical with a pecking order, and "might is right". The failure of western politicians to understand this is the root cause of Muslim conflict across the world and why there will never be peace in the Middle East till we start showing them we aren't weak, Israel understands this, and this is why they are doing what they are doing in Gaza.
