They can call it what ever they choose, they can be partners with whoever they choose, they can even be in what ever party they choose, that does not make them liberals. Geesh.....

The government is small and limited, the leader is very wealthy and does not spread that wealth.
Religen is pressed by the government and in bed with the government.
Morality is arbitrarly inforced as an excuse to push citizins around.

You imagine the dictionary meanings of conservative and liberal or progressive have the same meanings politically for the various places they are used around the world...nothing could be further from the truth....
the labels represent a variety of beliefs in a variety of regions, and have little to do with what the dictionary says or how we use the words in ordinary conversation....
