This is what happens when so many people carry.

2:45 AM, the bars let out on 7th Avenue, the Tampa nightclub and party strip.

An 22 year old carrying a handgun is walking in the crowd toward his ride home, when he sees a girl he knows from School. He waves at her and the boys with her take exception with his waiving. The girls crew comes over toward Tyrell in an aggressive manner. Tyrell Phillips 22, says he saw one of the group reach into his waistband so he pulled his gun and shot Elijah Wilson 14 dead. Police found a concealed loaded gun on the 14-year-old after he was shot and killed.

The sound of the gunshot in the massive crowd resulted in several people pulling guns and firing.

When the dust settled two people were dead, and 15 others wounded by gunfire.

Police said last week that investigators believe at least two other people opened fire after Phillips shot Wilson twice. Phillips is currently in the Hillsboro County Jail charged with 2nd Degree Murder.

everyone in this scenario, except phillips, screwed up. This includes the tampa police morons.

this is NOTHING to do with stand your ground. NOTHING

Everyone who shot their weapon will claim stand your ground, and likely get off. Only caveat is that being black makes that defence less likely to work with a jury.

that is not how stand your ground works. everyone who shot a weapon is going to have to reasonably describe the threat.........which only phillips is going to be able to do.

"I was walking in a crowd and I heard two gunshots, the shady guy in front of me was reaching into his pants in a way I know people do when pulling a handgun, he was looking straight at me and running toward me. I don't know who he was or where he went, but i fired three times in his direction before he disappeared. I thought I was in a mass shooting situation and this guy was targeting me so I shot."

Any of those who fired their gun can say the above.... Stand your ground applies if a jury believes him.

If a jury of someones peers, viewing all evidence in objectivity, reasons that a person acted in self defense, then stand your ground worked perfectly. the problem is going to be rationalizing that to a jury, which I don't see happening just by he said/he said......

but i'm also more critically reasoning than most people

It would be uncontroverted evidence, unless there is a video.

Probably NOT white supremacists, huh?

Parents are guilty of neglect and contributing to delinquency.

Not a legal gun owner anywhere amongst them.

This is what happens when criminals break the laws.

"Criminals"? Don't you mean poor innocent victims of the white colonial patriarchy that expects people to be responsible citizens? How do you think people can be successful if you keep expecting them to be responsible for their actions? That's white colonial patriarchy talking.

We need to quit bitching about people shooting one another.

It's what the founders wanted,
and their successors have been happy to give it to them.

Our constitution can no longer be amended due to polarization.

However, when the new nations that replace the USA are founded,
they can do a better job of defining themselves constitutionally.
