Big night for Democrats!

It was conservatives telling women that they shouldn't... that there were so many ways to avoid getting into that situation... and it was liberals encouraging women that their "rights" were more important than a child... so go ahead demand that abortion be acceptable as birth control... we do see it very differently... so now it's okay in Ohio to have an abortion at 28 weeks with a huge bag of legal weed in your fanny pack to celebrate afterwards... so be it... I'll always continue to support life... and encourage reproductive responsibility instead of termination... (I just hope that crack isn't the next one to be approved...lol...)

Poor thing. What a classic meltdown. You'd be so much happier in Tehran. Shall I start a Gofundme for your one-way ticket and a couple of burkas? :rofl2:

Firearms are the leading cause of death for children in the United States. Yet I'm sure you think your rights are more important than their lives.
I'm not sure why you would think that... but since you mentioned it ...are there more firearm deaths than abortions every year?

Hmm. Wasn't it just yesterday that you were scolding me about the use of hyperbole and how you can't have decent conversations here because of it? Yet here you are, doing the exact same thing.

BTW prove that anything I said in that post was "hyperbole"

I agree with your quote... but are you claiming that making abortion illegal is giving women a choice?
There's nothing wrong with exceptions for quite a number of circumstances... especially when there is a question of danger to the health of either the child or the mother... the goal is to make it less necessary to have to consider the procedure... which only makes sense..

But you claim somehow that making abortion illegal is giving women a choice?

Yet people like you support "Palestinians" who hate everything you stand for but I'm the bad guy. It's not your hyperbole as much as your utter stupidity at supporting people who hate you that's annoying.

They don't want abortions, but they also don't want to fund the organization that distributes more birth control to the underserved community than any other organization IN THE WORLD.

Seems odd to me. I smell hypocrisy.

If not for birth control than abortion is for what? Do you prefer the word "convenience"? That's why a vast majority of the abortions are preformed.

Abortion is performed for a wide variety of reasons: age of the mother (as in young teen), contraceptive failure (common), financial reasons (can't support a kid or one more kid), health of the mom (not very common), rape and/or incest (also not common), defective fetus.

The solution is quality biological and sex education, affordable (or free) access to contraception with instruction on its use, and follow-up care. You would be surprised at the number of people who think that withdrawal or the rhythm method are effective forms of birth control. You'd be surprised at how many women don't realize that taking an antibiotic while using oral contraceptives often makes them ineffective. Education and contraceptive access are key to preventing unwanted pregnancies, wouldn't you agree? Yet we still have people screaming about "free birth control" and "I'm not paying taxes so sluts can fuck w/o consequences." Yep, I've heard conservative forced-birthers say that. Lastly, we need to educate males of their role in preventing abortion. Takes two, you know.

I wish I didn't ever have to read her passive aggressive crap, but since you made me......

If you believe in exceptions, if you believe in IUDs, if you believe in invitro fertilization and you support a ban on abortions because you believe the fetus has full rights, you are a hypocrite and a liar.

Looks to me like the "teacher" doesn't know the difference between the death of an already-born and living child, and taking a medication to prevent the implantation of a clump of cells that might someday be a living child.

Yes, more than half of abortions are performed today via medication.

Here you are with more hyperbole and lies. Because I disagree with you, suddenly I am a supporter of terrorists.

Go whine some more about how you just can't have decent adult discussions here because everyone but you engages in stupidity and nonsense and personal attacks. Sheesh.

The number of abortions for rape incest or "defective fetus" is miniscule. The remainder are convenience. If you believe babies aren't killed in an abortion then why does the word "convenience" bother you?

I'm all for men keeping it in their pants but if women want a second choice after deciding to engage in baby making activities then men should have the same second choice. Also I have never heard a sensible argument for free contraception. If it's not important enough for you to pay for them why should anyone else?

Yes, more than half of abortions are performed today via medication.

The bulk of abortions take place in the first trimester. It is well north of 90%. After the first trimester, abortions are often performed for health reasons. By week 8, over 50% of all abortions have already taken place.

A big boiling kettle of it, actually. Every time Toxic puts on her church lady forced-birther hat, I donate to PP in her name. This so enrages her that she even reported me to the mods for posting the proof in the form of a heavily-redacted emailed receipt, and got her little posse to join in. At least now she knows that I'm not making it up. :rofl2:

They are going to receive a large congratulatory donation today in her name.
