WHy Defend Israel and not Ukraine?

You didn’t support American going after the Taliban in Afghanistan post 9/11. Yes America was attacked but we are also an oppressive nation and similar to Israel got our just desserts (not to justify the attack but nonetheless…). So why support Israel in responding but not the U.S.?

You claimed, 20 years after the fact, that you were against us going into Afghanistan (this was during the board discussions at the time we pulled out two years ago). So the question would by why should Israel be able to defend itself but not us?

if I said that, I’d like to see it in context. I was OK with taking out the Taliban, I don’t believe that required a full scale invasion.

Not to change the subject but how would you have gone about taking out the Taliban without sending forces to Afghanistan?

I think we had to send forces, I do not think it required a full scale invasion or occupation .
 
I favor supporting both.

We don't choose wars on merit, however.

We choose them according to what most favors our corporate war profiteers.

This is not an off the top of head opinion.

What Jarod and BeijingPeon won't admit is that Israel is "Oppressing" the Arabs because they won't die.

As long as ONE GRAIN OF SAND is controlled by the Dhimmis, the Muslims will continue to fight. The only thing Jarod will accept is the utter and complete destruction of Israel as a Jewish state.
