House investigators found “substantial evidence” that Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) knowingly violated a litany of ethics and criminal laws, according to a House Ethics Committee report released Thursday that prompted Santos to declare he would not seek reelection next year.

“Representative Santos’ conduct warrants public condemnation, is beneath the dignity of the office, and has brought severe discredit upon the House,” Reps. Michael Guest (R-Miss.) and Susan Wild (D-Pa.), the committee’s chairman and senior Democrat, said in a joint statement.

He probably hopes Republicans already nervous about their narrow majority will decide that's good enough and not expel him.

The guy apologized, said he made a "mistake". What he "made" was fraud and deception; his mistake was doing it clumsy enough to get caught.

Trump set a new bar for grifters. And i am serious about that.

every two bit conman is now headed for the Republi'can' party because they see what Trump achieved with a con, and feel they need to step up their game.

Santos sees Trump ran a fake Charity that was shut for fraud ...and he thinks 'I have run charity scams too'.

Santos sees Trump University fraud ...and he thinks to himself"my entire university resume is a scam too'.

He sees how gaining power protects Trump despite all his frauds being exposed, even his hotel and other grifts while in office, ...and thinks 'I need to get in power too, as my frauds are smaller and hopefully i can both up my fraud game and get the same protections Trump is getting".


I, for one, cannot blame every grifter in the country seeing what Trump achieved and believing they too can follow in his path and heading right to Republi'can' party for the same reason Trump did. They know their voters are stupid and easily duped and would love to be fleeced by grifters.

Santos doesn't need to run for reelection anyway.

He's achieved his objective.

He's a famous celebrity with a term in Congress on his resume.

He'll be able to make a living giving interviews, making speeches, writing books about how he's undergone therapy or whatever, and reinvented himself.

He'll be worth a couple of million in a year or two.

Maybe start a line of QVC merchandise.

On January 7th most of the GOP held Trump responsible, shortly thereafter, they said they didn’t have to act, that the law will deal with him, and today, they support him for President

Biden conned his way into the White House. Remember him lying and saying Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation or that no one in his family got money from China or how about he never talked to anyone in his family about business? All lies just like Santos lying on his resume. He conned you. Think about it. You got conned by an old man with dementia.

No, they know Santos is gutter scum. What they are worried about is their narrow majority and Santos always votes with them. Until now they've been willing to overlook/ignore his scumbaggery.
