Always thought it was interesting how some poorly-educated and/or religiously-indoctrinated ppl reject evolution and the fact that almost all life present today, including ourselves, evolved from prior life. Yet these same ppl are usually quite willing to admit that we need to update our flu vaccines yearly because viruses evolve. Maybe those who reject that notion think that god (or Satan?) is busy making new ones constantly. lol

^^The only reason you wrote that is because:

1) You plagiarized and parroted that complaint from what you read in rightwing media.
2) You don't understand how universities and legitimate scientific research works.

University researchers and NASA scientists already draw a descent professional salary to live on regardless of their research findings.

You cannot use grant funding to pay your mortgage, buy your wife jewelry, take vacations, or otherwise personally benefit from it. Research funds have to be used to pay for the support of legitimate research.
