He whipped up a crowd and sent them to interrupt the specific session of congress prescribed by the Constitution for establishing the winner of the electoral vote. The time and date of which is set by law as directed by the Constitution. Had it not occured on that day, he was planning to argue that any later vote was invalid.

He signed an executive order prohibiting people from entering the Country, even American Citizens, based on their religion. (He did later resend that order before the Supreme Court had a chance to strike it down and replaced it with a ban on foreigners who came from particular nations, not based on their religion.
