California has always had stricter air quality laws because of their smog problem. They've had stricter emissions laws on gas cars for decades. I'm surprised you didn't know that. Well, maybe not so much.

So? I would say that was a massive error on the part of the federal government to allow it. It gives California--by size of their economy and population--too much power over other states in what is really a federal (interstate commerce) issue.

Further, less than 1% of the cars on the road are EVs.
Further, EV fires are class C fires (until the battery is consumed) and burns quite hot and rapidly, like a firework. You cannot use water to put it out.

BTW, the image you are using shows that fire did not start at either the fuel tank nor the engine. It is not a gasoline fire. From what I can tell, it's an image from an intentional explosion, probably for a movie (guess how I know). That fire is also a class A fire. You can use water to put it out (which they probably did, after the filming).

I do not "hate EVs." I hate that government is increasingly forcing them on people. I see an EV as the wrong type of vehicle for me, and many other people feel the same way. Women should have a choice before Conception. In cases of rape or incess where there is no choice before conception abortion should be available. After conception its not all about her body. I think all of this talk about Battery Powered cars overlooks the fact that Fuel Cell cars are on the horizon, and they will be end up becoming the DeFacto Standard of the future in terms of fueling the world's transportation and power plants!

And due to the fact that risk to the mother or baby sometimes does not show up until the 3rd trimester, there should never be a ban on Abortion.

Doctors should be allowed to make these recommendations, and should be allowed to carry out the abortions. But, even after a doctor gives advice, the decision itself should be left up to the one who is pregnant- THUS A WOMAN'S CHOICE!

“Most electric cars today are being manufactured by either legacy automakers that are new to EV technology, or by companies like Rivian that are new to making cars,” says Jake Fisher, senior director of auto testing at Consumer Reports. “It’s not surprising that they’re having growing pains and need some time to work out the bugs.” Fisher says some of the most common problems EV owners report are issues with electric drive motors, charging, and EV batteries. (Note: Charging problems reported by members are with the vehicle, not with home or public chargers.)...
