Stop Scolding Student Protesters

As campuses continue to roil over the Israel-Hamas war, one message from administrators and lawmakers remains consistent: Student protest is a sign of moral failure. Columbia University suspended Students for Justice in Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace as official student groups until the end of term.

Harvard evicted a student from campus housing for serving as a safety marshal at a recent protest. At the University of Pennsylvania, in response to student protesters projecting phrases like “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” and “from West Philly to Palestine, occupation is a crime” onto campus buildings, President Liz Magill issued a statement calling the messages “vile,” “antisemitic,” “reprehensible,” and “hateful,” insisting that they were instances of “cowardice” that had “no place” at the university.

Her message echoed sentiments expressed by a vice provost at Penn, Ezekiel J. Emanuel, in The New York Times, decrying the “moral obliviousness” of students, and insisting that educators have “failed to give them the ethical foundation and moral compass to recognize the basics of humanity.”

We used to call it ethnocentrism. Only reality is ethnic identity. False. False and very dangerous.

If you are going to be a troll, I will ban you.

Ok.

These asshole kids are supporting a terrorist government. Israel is one of our greatest allies.
Their adversaries are laughing their collective asses off at us, all the while sending these
terrorists across Biden's open border. And the Ho, who's supposed to be in charge of it, sucks.

So you oppose freedom of speech.

So you oppose freedom of speech.

I oppose abandoning our allies. I oppose supporting terrorists. I oppose the hatred of the Jewish people and their right to retaliate an unprovoked missile attack on a music festival. I oppose the brutal killing and kidnapping of innocent citizens.

But the topic of thread is student speech on campuses.
