You really shouldn't pretend you haven't seen the two billion posts here of MAGAs deriding, mocking, diminishing the liberal arts. And hollering that people shouldn't study the liberal arts.

You can't defend and promote western intellectual, artistic, political, and literary achievement unless you are knowledgeable about it.

In that case, it's the liberals that have abiding respect for western civilization, because they seem to be the only one who tend to think it's worth it to study art history, English literature, theater, and philosophy in college.
